Navrachana University (NUV) believes that a good library is pivotal to the growth of an educational institution and hence committed to developing a well-equipped and strong central Library to cater the information requirements of students and faculty members to pursue academic work and accomplish research goals. NUV’s mission for the Learning Resource Centre through is Central Library is to support the University in its quest to become an internationally, top-ranked, research driven University. NUV’s Library has invaluable resources for graduate, post graduate, Ph.D. students and faculty members of the University. The library has vast collection of books, magazines, journals, encyclopedia, dictionary, audio-visual material and it caters to those pursuing education and research in the field of Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, Humanities, Social sciences, Management, Law, and Architecture and Design. The library is also well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROM, On-line databases, audio-video cassettes, books, journals, and project reports. To support higher education, the University library is equipped with documents like thesis of research in education, journals and back volumes of journals. The library is fully automated by using Library management software SOUL and advance automation RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) System.
This Institutional Digital Repository has been created to collect,preserve and distribute the scholarly output of Navrachana University.This will work as an important tool to facilitate scholarly communication and preserve the instituition knowledge.The NUV Library proud to be host the repository and work for the dissemination and preservation of knowledge resource of Navrachana University community.

  • EBSCO Management Collection - This database contains full text article from 1000+ E-resources (Full Text Academic Journals, Magazines, Trade Publications, Books / Monographs, Company Profiles etc.
  • JSTOR - The JSTOR Sustainability collection is composed of academic and open policy research on environmental stresses and their impact on society. This collection features 105 journals and over 5400 research reports from leading 30 think thank Worldwide. JSTOR Arts and Sciences III Collection: 152 journals
  • Manupatra - Manupatra is law of publishers and provider of Legal, Taxation, Corporate, and business Policy content in India.
  • South Asia Archive - South Asia Archive is fully searchable digital archive encompassing millions of pages of valuable research and teaching materials, providing online access to documents ranging from the mid-18th to the mid-20th Century. The Archive contains interdisciplinary contents - books, journals, reports, film ephemera, census reports & more. Online resources are available in both English & vernacular languages.

  • National Digital Library - NDLI is the project of MHRD managed by IIT Kharagpur. It provides huge resources for academic and research which includes text, videos, images, animations, audios and presentations on various subjects. Registration is free. The NUV Library follows an open access system:
  • Library use is restricted to only to authorized members of the university with valid University ID. Other visitors need to take permission from Library
  • Silence must be observed in the reading halls
  • Loose papers and note books can be taken inside the library
  • Use cell phone in the Library not permitted
  • Conversation in any part of the library so as to cause annoyance to readers is not permitted
  • No smoking or spitting in the library is allowed
  • Please refrain from mark in books and damaging library property
  • Refrain from shelving books and periodicals as that disturbs the ordering system followed by the library administration
  • Books or materials taken from the stacks should be kept in the cart to facilitate re-shelving by the library staff
  • Members who damage books and library property are required to pay for the damage and failure to do so will result in loosing library use privileges
  • Tearing pages or stealing books will lead to disciplinary action by the University and lose of library use privileges
  • Library facilities and further disciplinary action will be initiated against them by the University
  • When entering the library, please leave personal belongings (bags, brief-cases, parcels etc.) and eatable items at the security desk located outside.
  • When leaving the library, please stop at the exit so that the borrowed materials in hand can be checked for ownership
  • Violation of library rules will lead to the loss of library use privileges
  • The Librarian reserves the right to suspend those found misbehaving and abusing library staff and property
  • Rs. 3.00 per day per book will be collected for returning overdue books
  • Patrons must check for the condition of books because a charge will be imposed for damaged books when returning
  • A book borrowed can be renewed provided no Patron has placed request for the book.
  • A book can be recalled if a Patron has requested for the book
  • A Patron can reserve a book by filling out a form at the circulation section
  • Obtaining No-Due certificate from Library is mandatory when leaving the University
  • Loss of book (s) must be reported immediately
  • Books can be borrowed only against a valid NUV ID card and Patrons must present the card to borrow books, failing which the library staff can refuse to honor the request
